December Manager's Message

Season Greetings from Hub City Co-op:

As we enter the holiday season, I'd like to take a moment to update everyone on what's happening here at the co-op.

We have made many changes in our produce and grocery departments and have greatly increased offerings from local farms. These include micro greens from Produce 365, eggs from Old Paths farm, Kombucha from Updog, coffees from Mozza Roasters, quail eggs from Sloane Farms and rabbit from Blue Ridge Rabbit Co. I am always on the lookout for more local products and plan to carry even more items as they become available.

Our hot bar continues to be a fantastic success. We have added Chicken Wing Fridays to the mix and offer at least 6 different kinds of jumbo wings each week. We have also added some additional indoor seating so join us for lunch or dinner...or maybe both!

Thanksgiving was a big hit and thanks to everyone who ordered their all-natural turkeys from the co-op. We will have all-natural, nitrate free, spiral cut hams available for Christmas and if you want a turkey, tenderloin, or any other type of roast, just let us know.

December is Owner Appreciation Month and we are showing our thanks for your patronage in 2017 by having an owner's day every day for the whole month! We have many holiday items including gift baskets ready for when you visit. We are also holding sampling events every Saturday in December from 10am - 2pm. C'mon in and try some of our local and holiday offerings.

Finally, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support. I have been able to connect with many of our customers over the past few months and it's been a pleasure to hear from you and get your feedback. I'm looking forward to next year and continuing with all the improvement plans we started in September.

My warmest wishes to everyone and their families during this holiday season and here's to many more big things in 2018!
